TRAINING - SILVER

This badge certifies that its holder was admitted to the Grand Challenges Scholars Program by Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia (GCSP-IMT). The objective of the GCSP is to develop in the student, during her/his undergraduate program, the 5 competencies necessary to successfully engage the most important problems of humanity to be solved by the end of the 21st century, in accordance with guidelines of the National Academy of Engineering of the United States of America (NAE).

The competencies are: Technical-Creative competency, Multidisciplinary competency, Entrepreneurship and Business Viability competency, Multicultural competency and Social Consciousness competency. To successfully complete the program, participants must have all programmatic activities with grades “pass” or above; produce acceptable intermediate reports displaying thematic continuity and connection including a self-reflecting report describing her/his development process while accomplishing the activities, plus the results for the project undertaken.

Also they need to provide evidence of significant and continuous development on the required competencies. This last requirement should demonstrate steady progress on the self-assessment rubrics completed during the program, and achieve at least three “Exemplary” and no “Emerging” or "Training" levels when considering all 5 required competencies.

In order to attain “Exemplary” level in any isolated competency, the Professional achieved “Exemplary” level in 70% of all related KPIs, at least, and no “Emerging” or "Training" levels.

In order to attain “Proficient” level in any isolated competency, the Professional achieved “Exemplary” level in less than 70% and more than 50% of the related KPIs, and no “Emerging” or "Training" levels.

Completed a period of steady competency development as per the applicable GCSP-IMT Program rubrics assessment.
